MoDOT CDL Registration

Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will be registering individuals to attend a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) workshop training classes during "A Call to Oneness" weekend celebration a Harris-Stowe State University May 30 and 31, 2009.
MoDOT, A Call to Oneness, Better Family Life, 100 Black Men, Missouri Career Center, NAACP, and the St. Patrick Center are working together to provide resources to individuals in the community who are interested in careers that require a CDL. During the anniversary Oneness Weekend, MoDOT will register applicants for the workshop on Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday, May 31 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
To qualify for the training, you must be 18 or older, a legal resident of Missouri, have a high school diploma or GED, and not have a suspended drivers license. A rally to kick off the registration will be held in the Emerson building at Harris-Stowe State University at 9 a.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. A valid license or state identification is required during registration.
The purpose of the program is to give individuals who may not have considered working in the transportation industry, with an opportunity to have access to training to acquire their CDL permit. This training will further help individuals find jobs in the transportation industry. The workshops offer training on what is required to pass the written test for the license. This is the first step in getting a CDL.
